About ICET

The advent of computer technology and the metamorphosis of
business administration into its present form have had profound
impact on the education scenario. With renewed interest being
devoted to the education sector, more institutions are being
started to cater to the increasing demands of industry for
skilled manpower. Common entrance examinations are conducted for
admission to these colleges.
The
Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) is held in Andhra
Pradesh for admission to MBA and MCA courses in the state. The
Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education conducts this
test.

Academic Eligibility
|
|

The
candidate must possess a degree qualification (of at least 3
years duration) in any faculty from a recognised University
in Andhra Pradesh or equivalent to it.

The
candidate should have studied Mathematics as a subject in
Standard X / SSC. Those who studied under the distance
education system or in an institution outside Andhra Pradesh
must produce evidence that they have passed Standard X / SSC
with Mathematics as a subject.

Those
who have just written the final year / semester examination
of the degree course are also eligible.

Other Eligibility Conditions
|
|
Candidates must satisfy the local / non-local status as
specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions
(Regulations for Admission) Order 1974 and the amendments made
therein. In the Regional Engineering College (REC) Warangal, 15
seats for the MCA course are available to eligible candidates
hailing from outside Andhra Pradesh.

Scheme of the Examination
|
|
The test paper
contains 200 objective-type questions (1 mark each) to be
answered in 150 minutes for a total of 200 marks. An outline is
